I needed to bring my 14' monitor up to the same height as the other
I tried a cardboard box, but it doesn't match |
So, off to Home Depot where I found an electrical box like this |
And a couple of these |

Here they are to compare the size |
After cutting, sanding, painting, gluing, and more painting |
A side view
I just liked the way the two blue boxes looked like some alien device |

A bit more texture than I had hoped for |
In use |
Fan Pack |
I have an external drive in a 3.5" box. It tends to get HOT! |

I was limited by a maxmimum size of 110mm I also had to decide on 120VAC or 12VDC fans.
I used two Antec 92mm fans. Note the four grills |
I had to cut the molex plugs off and somehow connect the fans to a 12V transformer
The fans had 3 wires, so after I cut the plugs, I had to check the 2 wires to the motor
I also discovered my transformer was putting out 15V. hmmm. |

![Done!](p12th.jpg) |

I canibalized the 3-pin connectors to use to disconnect the unit
I'm partial to barrier blocks for connecting |
Add some shrink-wrap and we're done!
Not quite as pretty as it could be |
In use, cooling away! |
